Besides with the cost of Exchange server, using it to just provide IMS
services for one box seems a little excessive.
Couldn't an SMTP server do the same job?

Exchange 2000 can accept multiple pop3/smtp connectors and routes, I don't
think you can make multiple IMS connectors in 5.5. I know there are other
connectors with other mail systems and you can route smtp between servers so
I guess Im not sure what you are trying to do ..

We have 2 IMS installed EXC. 5.5 on NT box and one of two is working
INBOUND&OUTBOUND.

The other one is being just for one IP server-BLACKBULL(the code
name)- which resides on IBM mainframe. This client is sending mail with java
packet via telnet connection,so it is not a mailbox assigned system.

I'd like to achieve that, could you pls help me:
the second IMS server would accept just only from the IP address
which belongs to BLACKBULL?..I don't want BLACKBULL to accept any other
messages inside all the organization?..How can i do this?Could you pls send
your replies immediately?..thank you very much for your comments?..

EXC. 5.5 with SP4 org. on MS NT Srvs. with SP6a
