I am working on this as we speak. I already got an error on line 57. I am going to try
it under a user account soon. If I have to modify it & I get it working I will let you
know.
Thanks so much

I think if you put the vbs in the Run key it would run fine. I've never
tested this myself so it's a use at your own risk.

There's a VB script that someone put together and posted on this list some
time back. I have it posted on my scripts and tips page - I'm sure you could
run that at startup. However, are your users going to wait while a 20Gb
drive in a PC runs defrag?

I have the same problem with our laptop users. Our helpdesk has figured out
that the drive gets fragmented quickly which causes outlook to hang on exit.
Sounds weird but when they defrag it outlook doesn't hang any more. What
really sucks is a user can't defrag a drive so helpdesk has to do it. We are
looking into some 3rd party defrags that will run on start up.

What about any Internet mail accounts configured in his profile? I have
seen Outlook hang if there were problems with that internet account
setup.

Same problem on multiple PCs for the user ?
Are they syncing on exit ?
Are PSTs involved ?

I have a client w2k pro outlook 2k with all the patches that hangs on
exit. The rest of the systems exit fine. The only difference I can see
is that the user empties the deleted items folder on exit.

Any patches that are hiding??

Talk to you soon.
