If the ADC is set up with only one way CA's, then 5.5 knows diddly about the E2K directory. You use one way CA's for immediate migration. Co-existence will suck otherwise, which is what you seem to be playing with.

You get no NDR? Is this from another internal user? What does message tracking reveal? -----Original Message----- From: Paul Armstrong [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, July 15, 2002 6:00 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Exchange 2000 server in Exchange 5.5 Org\Site ADC seems to be working fine, I do not have in errors in the event logs. The ADC is set up with one-way CA's, From Exchange to AD. The data replicated to AD without issues and is accessible, I see all the info in AD such as email address and the server that it exists on. When I check out the move mailbox option, the new E2k server shows up int the list. Public folders have seen set to replicate to both servers and they show up in the E2k System Manager. I recently created another test mailbox on E55, sent mail to it (both internally & externally, & was received), then moved it to the E2k server. After the move a E55 user still see the mailbox and was able to send mail to it without errors, but the message never shows up in the E2k mailbox. I have let the servers sit over the weekend just to see if syncronization\replication didn't complete, but I am still unable to send mail to the E2k mailboxes both externally & internally. No errors show up in the eventlogs of both servers. How can I check to see if communication between the two servers are working? -----Original Message----- From: William Lefkovics [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Fri 7/12/2002 9:35 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Cc: Subject: RE: Exchange 2000 server in Exchange 5.5 Org\Site Ew. ADC is ok? -----Original Message----- From: Paul Armstrong [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, July 12, 2002 1:46 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: FW: Exchange 2000 server in Exchange 5.5 Org\Site Just connected to the E2k server via telnet and sent a message to a mailbox on E55 and it was successfully forwarded to the E55 Mailbox. I also sent a message form the test mailbox on E2K to a E55 user and the E55 user received the message. When I tried replying from the E55 User to the E2k account, it says: The recipient name is not recognized The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=us;a= ;p=play knits;l=NTSERVER02071220413ZF7PBBB MSEXCH:IMS:Playknits:PLAYKNITS:NTSERVER 0 (000C05A6) Unknown Recipient Not sure why this is happening, did I forget a step when I added the E2K server to the exisitng Org & Site with the E55 server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -----Original Message----- From: Paul Armstrong Sent: Fri 7/12/2002 4:06 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Subject: Exchange 2000 server in Exchange 5.5 Org\Site Hello All, I just recently upgraded a clients NT Domain to Windows 2K & AD. I have since installed the ADC and created ADC CA's to replicate recipients, contacts, & public folders to AD. I then install Exchange 2000 on the new server, updated to SP2, then created a test user, mailbox-enabled, and tried sending it mail which bounced back. So the Exchange 5.5 Server still exists and I am testing the Exchange 2000 server out before i start to move mailboxes. Both the servers are in the same Organization & Site. The router is forwarding mail to the exchange 5.5 server, and I thought that mail sent to a mailbox on Exchange 2000 should be routed to the server appropriately. I am unsure why the the mail is bouncing back when everything seems to be configured properly. the E5.5 server is NT4SP6a and the E2k server is W2KSP2. Any ideas, thanks in advance! .+- @Aѫa 0 z[lpjo Z \˅zm List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm .
