Interestingly, in Windows Server 2008, you create and renew certificates at the Web Server level; not the Web Site level.
In other words, it is finally at the proper place. Regards, Michael B. Smith MCSE/Exchange MVP http://TheEssentialExchange.com -----Original Message----- From: Michael B. Most sites want a new CSR not a renewal CSR. I've been creating dummy sites (or using openssl to generate fresh CSRs) for years. Regards, Michael B. Oh, of course, CSR not CRL ( my alphabet soup-fu bad). But is there something unique about these OWA or Verisign certs that you can't renew them? -----Original Message----- From: Michael B. You have to create a new request not a renewal. That's why you have to create a new site. Regards, Michael B. I don't think this is any different that a normal web site - just go to iisadmin and request a crl for the renewal. Since I haven't done this myself, I'm sure someone will point out the error of my ways. -----Original Message----- From: Bao, Gang [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 11:52 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: How To Renew VeriSign SSL Certificate of OWA ? Hello there, It's the first time for us to renew VeriSign certificate. I read this article from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295329, but I don't understand why one has to create a new site before renew it. Anyone knows the exact steps or a link where we can find details? We use IIS60, and Exchange 2003 OWA.
