Data Base 6 is the only Recovery Storage Group we have. Perplexing indeed.

Is Data Base 6 the only database you have? Sounds like the message is wanting
you to dismount all databases, not just the one you want to get rid of. If
it's the only one, though, then I dunno... not that dismounting all of them
makes any more sense.

Subject: Exchange 2007 Recovery Storage Group.

I am trying to delete an old Recovery Storage Group on Exchange 2007 and create
a new one.

When I select "Mount or dismount databases in the recovery storage group", then
select Data Base 6 and "Dismount selected database, I receive a message that
Data Base 6 was successfully dismounted. However, when I go to "Remove the
Recovery Storage Group", I get a message stating....."The recovery storage
group cannot be removed if any databases are mounted. Go back to the task
center, select Mount or dismount databases in the recovery storage group task
to dismount all databases, and then try again".

This is a never ending cycle.

I can't delete the storage group from the local drive either because it tells
me it's in use.

Has anybody else ran into this?

Thanks.

Robert
