Just curious...how did you find the bot sending all the SPAM? -----Original Message----- From: Carl Houseman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, February 04, 2008 11:49 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Problems Sending Mail to Different Sites...
Standard e-mail troubleshooting applies. e.g. from the console of the machine which actually sends the mail to remote servers 1. Verify correct nslookup of MX servers for the domain 2. Telnet to port 25 of MX servers and enter SMTP commands and watch responses received The problem may be completely unrelated to the blacklisting - stuff happens. Last week we had a computer that had a botnet and was sending out spam. After being notified by several of our receipients that were were being blacklisted, I corrected the problem. As of this morning using DNSSTUFF and the references provided me we are no longer on these lists. Now we are receiving messages from our customers referring to... Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed... and Could not deliver the message in the time limit specified... Even got on the phone with one of our customer and sure enough they are not going through.
