Phil-This and some of the reports I've seen from others on the list make me
wonder about the patch sequence. IIRC, last year there was the Windows DST
update, an Exchange DST update, and then there was also an Exchange/Outlook TZ
update tool that needed to be run against the Exchange server mailboxes. We
opted to carefully run the tool, but I remember that many folks did not run it
at all. I remember doing some testing after the Windows and Exchange patches,
but before the TZ tool was released, and found something similar to what you
are experiencing. The recommended sequence info can be found here:

So, I'm wondering if some of these residual issues folks are seeing are from
not having run this last step, the calendar update tool? I don't recall all
the specifics, but I remember that the tool stamped some timezone information
onto our existing user mailboxes.

Subject: External Mtg Invites Off By 1 Hour

With all of our systems patched for the DST change last year, I'm surprised to
be seeing this. Calendar invitations and accepted appointments sent into some
of our users from outside Exchange users this week all come in 1 hour late.
For example an invitation for a conference call with a supplier who sent it for
9:00 comes into some of us displaying as at 10:00, and we accept it as such.
Thus we miss the conference call. Outlook invitations from Outlook clients
that are non-Exchange Server users are okay. This is just new appointments,
not recurring appointments. All the DC's and the Exchange 2003 server have
their times and time zones correctly set and are all in the Pacific zone; it's
not a multi-zone issue.

Any ideas?
