It won't let you move the mailboxes if someone is logged into them.

 

I know that isn't the question you asked, but it is the "root cause
analysis". J

I'll try asking this again - How can you see the mapi sessions on the server
side, in Exchange 2007?  

In 2003 you could list mailbox logins, but I don't know where the same type
of information is in 2007.  For instance, I will be moving mailboxes for the
C level employees and want to make sure that they have Outlook closed prior
to the move.
