You probably need to disable SMBv3 or whatever the new version of SMB is
called. Should be GPO.

Subject: Is it me ... ? (Scanning to Win2k8 shares)

Is it me or is there a problem scanning to Windows 2008 file shares from
MFPs ?

We have replaced our 2003 servers with new 2008 boxes. Each has a file
share, and no matter what we do, our various MFP devices wont scan to the
shares. We have various HP and Dell based MFP, each reports various errors
but all similar to Username/Password not recognised. However the
username/password is correct. No matter whose credentials we use in the
boxes, it still fails. However, they scan fine to non-2008 boxes.

Is there a particular Function we need to add to the 2008 servers to enable
non-windows writing to file shares ?

Olly
