Will this apply if the mailbox is being opened as separate mailbox under the advanced tab rather than opening under File, Open other users folders.?

If a user opens an additional mailbox, to which he has full access, it all works as expected. However when the user is not connected then the secondary mailbox is not there. Is there any way to enable this functionality or will only the users primary mailbox be cached and available off line??
