That's good info, thanks. Don't know if OCS ever entered the
discussions. We don't currently use it, but we almost did.

Rackspace fell out of our running because they don't host OCS. Their
support sounded as if it would be top notch - they sold their support
experience more than other vendors.

Looks like we are getting ready to go with RackSpace. I was not involved
with the decision, but following is the reply from someone involved when
I asked why we were going with them:

 

They could provide everything we were looking for:  

Splitting out the agents from the employees (Application availability.
Agents don't need Outlook, nor do they need the BES.  Also MUCH cheaper
than the full on Outlook client package).

Big mailboxes.

BES

Forward mail to 3rd party accounts.

Remote administration.

OWA-like access.

We are looking to outsource Exchange and have narrowed our field down to
Apptix, USA.NET, and Microsoft BPOS. I have read a couple online reviews
but would like to have a more interactive discussion. If anyone here has
used any of these three I'd love to hear about your experience, good,
bad, or indifferent. I'm not concerned with hearing about pricing as
much as how migration and ongoing support was/is.
