Getting rid of IE as the renderer which is how it was before was a good fix. 
Using IE exposed every IE exploit via email. Not so sure Word was the best 
choice as a replacement though.  :)

If you have word installed it is using word for both composition and rendering. 
MS fixed that for you. You can't change it short of uninstalling word or 
downgrading to Outlook 2003.

I upgraded from 2003 to 2010, I cannot find where it says if I am using word as 
my editor (which I normally turn off), but then there are several things MS 
'fixed' that worked just fine.

Anyway, my auto correct works fine.
