If this is Exchange 2010 SP1 have you tried new-mailboxrepairrequest? A lot
cleaner than export-delete-recreate-import. You may have to run it several
times to repair the mailbox completely. Check the App Log in Eventviewer for
repair status messages.

Thank you,
Peter Kretche

I was able to take the mailboxes out of quarantine and then use
New-MailboxExportRequest. As a backup I also performed extracts from Outlook.
One user was a hard-core calendar user and it did hork some of her appointments
but for the most part it all went well.

How were you able to perform an extraction if the mailbox itself was corrupt?
Did you extract from the last backup?
