Just run the schema update. It'll be fine. Regards,

I went into the management console to create a separate receive connector for the application. When I clicked on finish I got an error "Active directory response: 00000057: LdapErr: DSID-0C090B38" and it could not create it. I recently installed the RU 5 update and am not sure if this has anything to do with my problem or not. I Googled that error and did find references to this happening after Exchange SP3. The KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2457729 indicated that ............ This issue occurs because the Active Directory schema is not updated when you install Exchange Server 2007 SP3. Additionally, the receive connector class contains the following two new attributes in Exchange Server 2007 SP3: * msExchExtendedProtectionSPNList * msExchPopImapExtendedProtectionPolicy The suggested work around is run the Setup.com /prepareschema command in the Exchange Management Shell. Can I simply run this from the Exchange powershell without fear of trashing my server. Was this a bug in SP3 and wouldn't it have been fixed/addressed in subsequent patches/rollups or may I have some other issue that is preventing me from creating a receive connector -- Thanks Dave Vantine --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the body: unsubscribe exchangelist --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe exchangelist
