Further to this, it seems as if outlook will only connect/run if exchange is on a DC from the terminal server. Name resolution works with a non exchange dc listed in the server box when first launching outlook, but not on a non dc exchange box. No firewall, nothing on the network stopping it, no errors either end, just can't connect. Worryingly dr google throws up lots of people saying they have issues with 2008 TS boxes running outlook 2007 and no one comes up with a fix... I've got a weird one. We have a TS box we use for secure remote access for our users, since upgrading the clients on it to outlook 2007 noone who is on a standalone exchange 2007 server can connect. It seems to be unable to do a directory lookup for the account. I can connect to a dc which also hosts exchange to resolve the names, but as soon as you try to load it the Microsoft Exchange Connection Status just shows server name xxxx - Type = directory - status=disconnected, nothing else. I've been racking my brains for ages over this one and I can't figure it at all.
