Hi We have an issue that I am sure many of you have had in the past.
We have Meeting rooms setup as Resource Mailboxes. Users are supposed to book the Meeting Rooms via Outlook as a "Room" when creating meetings. However a number of them have got into the habit of connecting to the Meeting Room Calendar directly and booking the room. If they book the room as an "All Day Event" and do not change the "Show As" to "Busy" the room still shows as available to people booking the room in the correct way via Outlook. This keeps leading to double bookings. I would like to block people from being able to book the meeting room directly so as they have to book it via Outlook. I don't mind them being able to view the Meeting Room Calendar directly but must not be able to book it directly. The Default Permission for the Meeting Room is calendar. I have tried changing this to Reviewer, Contributor and to None. But none of these permissions would allow me to book the Meeting Room. What Permission should I set to achieve what we are looking for. If We have to stop people connecting to the Calendar directly. How should we do this? Thank you for any help that can be offered. --------------- Kevan Dickinson Network Manager NSF-CMi Ltd 23 Hanborough Business Park, Long Hanborough, Oxford, OX29 8SJ, UK T: 01993 885661 F: 01993 885603 M: E: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> www.nsf-cmi.com<http://www.nsf-cmi.com> [NSF-CMi logo]<http://www.nsf-cmi.com/> ******************************************************************************** ***Disclaimer*** The contents of this Email may be privileged and are confidential.
