I can't think of any valid reason for moving them. From: Stu Packett [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 02, 2012 12:48 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Exchange 2003 System Mailboxes Not in MESO Container
I'm a little puzzled as to why the previous Exchange administrator would move the Exchange 2003 System Mailboxes from the default AD Container, "Microsoft Exchange System Objects" (MESO) to a whole new Container somewhere else in AD. I discovered this as I'm troubleshooting a 3rd party application that cannot access the Exchange 2003 servers. Support for the application said it cannot find the System Mailbox in the default AD location. Because I don't know why the previous administrator moved it from the default location, I'm a little hesitant to move them back to their default location. Any ideas why he would have done this?
