The only functionality you'd lose is letting users specify their own
mirror://sourceforge/. But that's not particularly useful.
That is *very* useful to me:
1. Some sf.net mirrors are *excessively* slow for me. By specifying
the one(s) I want to use, I can take those out of the game.
If they're excessively slow, they just shouldn't be listed for anyone.
There's no benefit to having a zillion different mirrors for anything.
We should just be picking the best half dozen
A mirror that is slow for one person might be fast for another person.
And even if you could specify a list of mirrors that sort of works for
everyone, some mirrors might cause problems at a later point of time,
maybe only for a small group of people.
