Hello, This thread is related to this bug: http://paludis.exherbo.org/trac/ticket/1228 It’s meant to get the general feeling about this feature.
The main idea is about breakages. The two latest examples are the multibuild and cmake exlibs. If one just needs to set some vars, she/he knows that everything will just work, no matter which changes are made to the exlib chain.
