Hi, net-tools has been said to be deprecated and to use deprecated kernel API for quite some time now, with encouragements to use iproute2 as its replacement. I personnally think it would be a good idea to sitch our defaults to the recommended one.
Are there any good reason to stay with the legacy ifconfig stuff ?
