I'm all for Wulf's proposal. Not that I like systemd so much, but I
don't really get why people are bothered by passive text files that are
only a few KiB in size.
Though we don't currently use it on master we do have parts support in
exheres-0 now. I think the logical thing to do would be to make them
parts. Same for baselayout init scripts and logrotate files, if anybody
can be bothered.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see a big advantage of them
being parts instead of options. Most packages' buildsystem doesn't
install them automatically. So they have to be installed separately on
the exheres level anyway.
