If this is server side, then it's a matter of writing server_condition with
and{} in it.  Not worth the coding just to let someone not bother constructing
the condition.

If this is client-side, I question the wisdom of trying multiple
usercodes/passwords in turn until one works, as by then, given the example,
PLAIN will have leaked credentials to the wrong server.  It seems fundamentally
unwise to have a setup where you don't know precisely which credentials will be
used.
