Hello all, I am announcing that we are beginning the release process for an Exim 4.85 release. We are going to cut RC1 on Mon Nov 16, at which point Exim's code base will go into feature freeze. Only bugfixes and minor enhancements will be allowed at that point.
The last release of Exim, 4.84, was in August. Assuming a 6 week release cycle we aim to be releasing Exim 4.85 sometime near the end of December. If an early RC appears extremely stable, the release could be earlier. There is not a large amount of change since the last bug release, mostly bugfixes, build fixes, enhancements, and test suite enhancements. There is one new experimental feature, DANE, that we would like to see become available to those who might be in a position to utilize it. ...Todd -- The total budget at all receivers for solving senders' problems is $0.
