Phil Pennock <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED CC| |[email protected] Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #4 from Phil Pennock <[email protected]> --- The documentation is already far too large for sanity without annotating every entry with the version in which it was introduced. There's a textfile with a list of options in Exim, which includes a notation of the version in which they were introduced. For any given release, the documentation includes change-bars of significant documentation changes since the cited "previous" version (usually these days the previous release). Going through and adding first-version information would be a large amount of error-prone work, for which nobody here is being paid. If someone is willing to do the work themselves and make it easy to maintain, I suggest a sample showing how it can be added without being obnoxious, and how it can be updated easily, so that you know if we might say "we'd merge that" before doing a bunch of work yourself. Otherwise, we keep the references limited to major changes (which a new feature usually is not) and provide version-specific documentation for a reason. I'm with Jeremy and Andreas here. I'm re-closing this issue. Please do not re-open unless you're providing proof-of-concept patches and offering to do the work instead of demanding hundreds of hours of unpaid work from others. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. -- ## List details at https://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-dev Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ##
