--- Comment #3 from [email protected] ---
Hello,

I work with servers running GNU/Linux Debian 9.2 64-bit.

First, what version of Exim4 do I have?:

$ apt-cache policy exim4

exim4:
  Installed: 4.89-2+deb9u1

Problem is the same as the original poster described, i.e. I get mail:

exim paniclog

IPv6 socket creation failed: Address family not supported by protocol

Despite I have set:

disable_ipv6='true'

in the file:

/etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf

I even went further, but this would be too long I feel, I've written it as
answer here:

https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/407664/126755

Thinking I'm finally done with this issue. But this morning I again get the
same mail.
