First, what version of Exim4 do I have?: $ apt-cache policy exim4 exim4: Installed: 4.89-2+deb9u1 Problem is the same as the original poster described, i.e. I get mail: exim paniclog IPv6 socket creation failed: Address family not supported by protocol Despite I have set: disable_ipv6='true' in the file: /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf I even went further, but this would be too long I feel, I've written it as answer here: https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/407664/126755 Thinking I'm finally done with this issue. But this morning I again get the same mail. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. -- ## List details at https://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-dev Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ##
