In this case, and I admit it's rare, this customer was configured for 2 hosts and the DNS failed on the second host. The only way around it currently was for me to delete the second host, which did work. I'm just saying that I consider it a minor bug that in this configuration: example.com : mail1.example.com : mail2.example.com That if DNS fails for mail2.example.com and mail1.example.com works, the email should be delivered.
