The callout had completed by this point (as had the rcpt ACL), and Exim had sent a "250 Accepted" to the client. We'd have expected further SMTP commands from the client; either more RCPT's or DATA (or BDAT, effectively a variant of DATA). I don't think there's an Exim bug here.
