            Bug ID: 3096
Summary: There is no limit on the number of MAIL commands that
                    can be sent before EHLO.
           Product: Exim
           Version: 4.97
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: security
          Priority: medium
         Component: Documentation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

The "smtp_max_synprot_errors" and "smtp_max_unknown_commands" define the
handling of exception messages or syntax, the default is 3.However, the unusual
behavior of sending a MAIL command before EHLO has no associated error control
and can be sent indefinitely
