Looks like I will have to update the patch to remove a third header (BIMI-Logo-Preference) as well, although draft 12 may be inconsistent about that. However, the consensus on [email protected] seems to be that current implementations are not using these headers to signal to their localized webmail MUAs. I have received emails with headers which did not follow the spirit of the then current BIMI draft, so I would not be confident that following the draft is sufficient to protect BIMI-aware clients. I understand that https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-brotman-bimi-mua/ is unfinished but is intended to become a guide on making BIMI communication between MTA and MUA safer. --- Note that the only significant part of the two existing patches is the addition of one line to acl_check_rcpt in src/src/configure.default: require remove_header = BIMI-Location : BIMI-Indicator This line is currently disabled in both patches, as some on the exim lists are not in favour of BIMI.
