Thanks a lot sir for your reply. In my evolution settings,in the receiving mail option I have chosen POP and in sending option I have chosen SMTP and then specified my server's hostname and a system user's name in the username. Now whenever I send/receive I get the following error message :-
Error while 'Fetching Mail': Could not connect to POP server 10.0.0.1 (port 110): Connection refused and Error while performing operation: RCPT TO <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> failed: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable The remote ID is correctly valid. --- Peter Bowyer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On 18/05/05, jitendra gupta > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I have started exim in the daemon mode by the > command > > :- > > exim -bd -q5 > > and have configured evolution(my mua) for a system > > user such as [EMAIL PROTECTED] where b is the host name of my > server > > and a is a system user. But I am unable to send > mail > > through it . > > Give us a clue or 2 - why were you 'unable' to send > mail?
