*sigh*  Ok - so I should have taken a few IQ enhancing pills before
posting my previous message.  That, or I should get my users to explain
their problem a little better.

The problem they were experiencing was not when *sending* email, but
rather with *receiving* email.  Yeah.  So, um, the problem had nothing
to do with exim, but with having installed an old certificate for
courier.
