I'm assuming that you're delivering mail to system accounts, which is
the default in debian and also what that article you quote describes.
If so, all you have to do is create a separate system account for
[EMAIL PROTECTED], such as "joe_blah2", and change the delivery for
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to
joe: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
