I seem to remember that setting group permissions on the scan folders is better than changing ownership to solve access problems with clam.

I think it came up during Tim Jackson talk at the exim conference that the sticky bit would also need to be set.

Thanks

Check the ClamAV logs. I had this problem when ClamAV was having access

Are you running ClamAV as root or clamav user? Clamav takes a bit of
doing to get it to work with exim properly running as non-root, but it
is definitely doable. I can share my setup if you would like.

Hi,

I have had to disable clamav because it was stopping virtually all my
mail, here is a line from my rejectlog;

H=h169n1-g-kt-d2.ias.bredband.telia.com (slask) [195.198.161.169]
F=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> temporarily rejected after DATA

This is from my home to the mail server yet it did not get through.

Has anyone else seen issues like this with clamav? Is there something I
should add in the clamd.config file?

Thanks,

Jeremiah
