Er, it runs as a daemon process, Exim can call it in an ACL. If you had 
problems with it, you might ask here.

Anyway, if you aren't running ClamAV, then that answers my question. I 
asked because ClamAV checks URLs in emails - against a local database of 
URLs found in phishing emails. It's a native executable, not a perl script, 
so it should run faster.
