It works even better if you just don't have a catchall. If you don't have one, Exim rejects the email outright which means the sending host has to expend its' resources generating any NDRs. Using :blackhole: still means you're accepting the messages, just a bit more quietly than before. Both methods are valid, but the "not using catchall" method tends to make other admins sit up and take notice that something isn't quite right.
