Again, I think you're mixing some things up here. If the 400 odd bytes of X-Header content offends you, you can feel free to strip them out. X-Headers are user or site specific, arbitrary, and irrelevant. Standard headers like References (see how there's no X- prefix?) are not, and should be left in place.
