Why don't you let exim, SpamAssassin and your A software do the scans
at SMTP time?
This would offer you the possibility to _reject_ mails containing
harmful stuff or/and spam at SMTP time.
With your current setup, these mails are being accepted, and your
server has to deal with the bounces...
