In our business-only environment there are 'quiet' times of day when there is almost no legitimate traffic. Also, as it is an 'all IMAP' environment, most deletions are first are placed in the 'Trash' folder. The MUA's are setup to 'sync' local/serverside folders, and to expunge the Trash on exit [1]. So, basically, the MUA's take care of cleaning up the obvious anomalies. In any case - these would not be a factor until and unless we actually have an other-then-planned outage. As the previous 'main' server (QMail) was at about 700 days uptime since last reboot when it suffered a HDD glitch (non-RAID, yet fully recoverable, just not the same-day), we probably won't really see much of a problem. Bill [1] OTOH, 'exit' from the MUA for some of the userland machines is as seldom as a couple of times a year, so the SI sometimes manually purges them for those staff who have not. -- ## List details at http://www.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-users ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://www.exim.org/eximwiki/
