I am using the "courier" server and some of the directories
have over 200.000 messages and I use ext3 since many years
since ReiserFs had to many problems and i do not like to
have 50.000.000 or more ZERO files.

What kind of LILIT do you have hit?

Note: I am running Debian GNU/Linux 4.1 Etch with Linux 2.4.33.
