The only thing bizzare about the reverse for this IP is the wildcard entry - it's technically legal, however as to whether anything would expect it or understand what to do with it I believe would be a no. I can't see any reason to advertise a wildcard hostname for a PTR since it simply makes no sense. I would highly suggest the DNS admin for that zone remove the wildcard PTR record for that IP (and any others) - no clue if it will fix your problem, but it's certainly not going to do you any good having it there (if it's for tracking purposes, just comment the entry out instead of delete it).
