Does the user you have redirected the mail to have a UID of 0 ?
Exim really does not like delivering to superuser accounts (ie ones
where the UID is zero) because this has security implications.

Most likely these are bounce messages generated by the inability to
deliver other mail (not necessarily your fault - other places may not
accept mail from you for all sorts of reasons).
