Oops, slight mixup with my port numbers!  https is usually over 443, not 8080.

In any event the principle is that same.  No-one is going to have port 80 as 
the only port allowed, they would always allow 443 as well. So, if you have no 
need to use https you could use 443 for smtp.  If you need https then require 
all urls to be https and use 80 for smtp.
