Did you set an MX Record for your Domain?
If you want receive eMail for your Domain, there must be a MX Record for
the Server which is receiving the eMail.
If no MX Record set, some MTA try to deliver the Mail on the Host of
your Domain, but its depending on the MTA Configuration.
So in some case they dont try to deliver your email if the MX Record is
not set.
