You cannot use newterm() with this Perl interpreter core because it uses 
PerlIo for file I/O, and the Curses library doesn't know what to do with 
that at ./exitop-0.02 line 466.

First version works well.
What type of packedge i need install to make it work? I run it on 
FreeBSD and in ports i found only this:

Perl extension to provide a PerlIO layer to gzip/gunzip
Perl extension to provide a PerlIO layer to bzip2/bunzip2
PerlIO layer for normalizing line endings
PerlIO layer for creating an MD5 digest of a file
Dynamic PerlIO layers
Symbolic link PerlIO layers
