A) Sounds like it is using the umask of its calling UID or EUID. - What or 'whom' is that set to? - Is there a 'flags' or stored CLI command-tail switch set in a script somewhere? B) Are the structures *later* to be owned by the same UID/EUID as creates them, OR assigned to individual shell-account (or nologin) 'Slocal_part' user, OR owned by the Exim and/or POP/IMAP daemons..
