Many thanks for the offer.  I tried this now (2009-12-10 11:45:18
UTC), and it failed too (I've replaced "@" with "X" here - I'm not
sure if the archives do any address munging):

I'm pretty certain that it's actually my sending server that is
killing the connection somehow, but I'm not clear on why it's doing
it.
