I'm wanting to log the time taken for mail to arrive from the time the
senders mail client to the time the mail arrives with us.

Is the value $tod_full the time and date now, or the sent time?
Does exim actually figure out the sent time in a variable anywhere?

If exim doesn't do any of this I'm assuming expanding $message_headers
and figuring the dates via a script is the only option?
