Hello,

I have exim-4.77 installed on FreeBSD 9.0 Release.
I'm trying to get rid of the "X-Authentication-Warning: gucio.pl: www
set sender to [email protected] using -f" warning for e-mails sent
by my webpages.

Theoretically setting:
trusted_users = www
in my configure file should be enough. But it isn't.

1) Both lighhtpd and php-cgi run as user www and it's php that is
sending the emails.
Thats a strange way to be running php-cgi - generally php-cgi is setup
to be ran as "ftpuser" for security reasons, as such it wont be www
sending all the emails - have you checked this on all of the emails?

Yes, I did check it. It runs as www.

I don't even have ftpuser (or any similar) in my system :) No ftp, so no need for that.

Besides, the "X-Authentication-Warning:" says explicitly which user is sending the email:

X-Authentication-Warning: gucio.pl: www set sender to [email protected] using -f

So, it's www.
