I have a question on exim-4.80.1 version.

production, I get different results. As exim3 is routing email to exchange but
exim4 is just relaying the email without expanding it.

Your dns setup does not show any exchange servers :

It's possible, that someone made a split horizone setup for your dns
server. It means, that you get different results for different ip ranges.
Do a "dig mx slb.com" on your new and on your old server and compare them.
If they differ, you found your problem.
