Exim 4.63 #1 built 28-Apr-2011 07:10:51 (on Centos 5.10) matches the
majority of host names in a file, except one persistent spammer.

EXDIR/hosts.spammer contains, inter alia,

        *charter.com
        *mo.charter.com

Exim fails to match a persistent nuisance

        71-14-255-2.static.stls.mo.charter.com

when the condition is

        hosts = EXDIR/hosts.spammer

I have checked the spelling; retyped the host name but Exim can not
match it. The routine functions successfully with other host names.

Other anti-spam checks reject the mail delivery attempts.

I wondered whether there were unprintable characters in the DNS entry
for host name.
